Instead of spending the summer in front of a TV screen, summer camps give kids the opportunity to try out new activities – think science camp, working with animals, sports, robotics, theatre, you name it! Rolla has a wide variety of summer camp options to choose from.
This camp is the only summer camp for kids in the country with a hands-on, interactive zoo. They offer over 100 activities, and campers can often be found feeding a sloth or lemur, watching a live surgery, or adopting an animal for a week.
Rolla Parks & Recreation Summer Adventure Camp
Openings are filling up quickly for the Summer Adventure Camp! Offering full and half-day options, this camp offers opportunities for kids to explore exciting topics while making new friends. They will focus on art, steam, fitness, and nature programming. Campers will enjoy sessions on sports, cooking, science experiments, and more!
First United Method Church Rolla – Eagle Lake Camps
From July 11 – 15, First UMC Rolla is having a Day Camp on location for kids ages 6-12. This weeklong camp will include many activities such as arts & crafts, group games, laser tag, inflatables, speakers and worship, tie-dye, and many more!
The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center
The KDC summer camps are education-based and focus on creating fun, interactive experiences that inspire a universe of endless possibilities. They value science, technology, and more, to provide hands-on learning that encourages imagination and exploration.
The University of Missouri Science & Technology offers camps that are all about discovering and exploring what it takes to have a future career in the business, science, communication, math, technology and engineering fields. Campers have the opportunity to learn about explosives, create art, explore engineering careers, and more. Missouri S&T also has Summer Sports Camps for men, women, and co-ed sports.
Ozark Actors Theatre – Summer Theatre Academy
OAT’s Summer Theatre Academy is a week-long musical theatre camp for kids ages 8 – 18 to gain hands-on experience in what it takes to put on a show! This camp will take place in Rolla from July 18 – 22.
The Movie Maker’s Summer Camp takes place July 5 – 8 this year! This is a place where young people ages 10 – 18 can have an opportunity to learn the essentials of filmmaking by creating their own short films. Participants will have access to professional equipment, learn how to create a Hollywood-styled script, film, edit, and finish out the week with an awards show.
The Rolla Bulldogs will have a variety of summer sports camps to choose from! Baseball, wrestling, track, and more.
