Summer is here, which means Saturday mornings are for the Downtown Rolla Farmers Market! The community focused market provides fresh, locally grown, nutritious produce and fruit, farm eggs, baked goods, meats, jam, body care products, hand-made jewelry, and the list goes on.
Attending a Farmers Market can be an important social event in the life of a community. It is a meeting place that encourages friendly interactions. My favorite part, you support the local economy! When food is produced, processed, and sold all within the same region, more money stays in the local economy. Enjoying produce at its peak freshness, meeting the people who grow your food, and supporting your local farmers, are just a few of the many reasons to attend.
The Rolla Downtown Farmers Market is open for the summer season starting in April through October on Saturdays from 8 AM – 12 PM, and Wednesdays from 3 PM – 6 PM. Winter Market is November – March on Saturdays only. Come and get to know the people that produce your food at the Farmers Market!
