The Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) has awarded a grant of $2,300 to the Phelps County Historical Society (PCHS) in support of the project, “Virtual Tour of Phelps County Museums”. The MCH is the only state wide agency in Missouri devoted exclusively to humanities education for citizens of all ages. It has served as a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1971.
Benefiting those with limited mobility as well as offsite visitors, this Virtual Tour will allow many who otherwise would miss our second floor museum display rooms and research work rooms an opportunity to see them. Additionally, providing a behind the scene look at small museum organization functions.
The premier is scheduled for October 23, 2022 at the Fall Meeting of the PCHS co-hosted by the Phelps County Genealogical Society located at the Wellington club house.
