Lichen Properties & Identification for Beginners
Join the Rolla Public Library on October 30 at 5 pm for Lichen properties and Identification for beginners. Lichen study is a captivating pursuit, and fall is an excellent time to delve into their diverse world! Join us for an introduction to lichen properties and identification techniques, so you can start recognizing these fascinating organisms accurately. We’ll cover the basics of distinguishing different lichen types, including some common species to look for and a few that can be problematic. Bring a notebook for your observations, and feel free to ask questions during the session! Rebecca Lexa, MA, OMN is a naturalist who grew up in Rolla and now lives in the Pacific Northwest.
