As everything is “springing” back to life, so are the active lifestyles.  The walking trails are being used once again as everyone gets out of the house to view the beautiful Dogwood and Redbuds.  The trout streams start to fill up with the avid fisherman waiting to catch their first fish of the season and the kids are always welcome during the annual kids fishing days.  Rolla is known nationally for their celebration of the patron saint of engineers during St. Patrick’s week.  The University of Missouri – Rolla hosts several festivities all week long wrapping up with “The Best Ever” St. Pat’s parade.  As spring draws closer to an end, this patriotic community holds the annual Memorial Day services at two locations in the community.
