The largest draw to the Ozark region during fall is our vibrant colors of the season.  This area beauty can be experienced through driving fall foliage tours.  Several festivals take place in the area during this season such as the Grape & Fall Festival that celebrates the prime grape picking season for the local wineries.  Visitors to the area can also enjoy several arts & crafts festivals such as the Junior Club Craft Fair and the Downtown Arts & Crafts Festival held downtown during the University of Missouri – Rolla’a annual Homecoming celebration.  As the nights become cooler the air is filled with the scent of wood smoke and hot dogs as the fans cheer the local football teams.  Another area favorite is the annual Old Iron Works Days that is celebrated at Maramec Spring Park.  Visitors can experience a step back in time as iron works is reenacted to show how the region began.
